A user is a person you manage, typically an employee. Only one side of a file sharing transaction must be a paid user, the other side does not have to be a paid user.
For example, let’s say you have 2 paid users:
- jack@example.com
- jill@example.com
Here are the common scenarios for Jack and Jill:
- jack@example.com can send to anybody on the Internet, the recipient does not need to be a paid user.
- jack@example.com can request files from anybody on the Internet, the requestee does not need to be a paid user.
If you create a public “Website Button”, the valid recipients can be Jack and/or Jill, because the recipients must be paid users. However, anybody that uses your “Website Button”, can send to Jack and/or Jill, and the sender does not need to be a paid user.
