UTF-8 File Naming Issues

UTF-8 encoding is available in the file download webpage to preserve filename text for non-latin languages (e.g. Russian, Asian) and other special characters (e.g. “%”). To enable UTF-8 encoding, click the “international” hyperlink instead of the filename hyperlink. Users who click the “International” hyperlink will see their filename text preserved in their save-as dialog screen.

Any SendThisFile file transfer user attempting to download a file to their computer using the filename hyperlink will experience scrambled text in the filename only if the original filename was encoded in a non-latin based alphabet.
